29.01.2026  GS Shri Abhishek Jain and AIP Shri Rajpal Sharma met PGM (Pers) Shri Rajeev Kumar Kaushik Ji to discuss the promotion avenues in the Telecom, Finance, Electrical, and Civil streams.

During the meeting, the GS expressed serious concern regarding executives of the Electrical and Civil streams, many of whom have been awaiting their first promotion even after completing 26 to 30 years of service.

PGM (Pers) listened patiently and informed that the promotion process for Electrical and Civil executives is under progress and is expected to be completed in the near future.

The GS and the President also raised the issue of promotion avenues for Finance executives, particularly from AO to CAO. It was highlighted that promotions are currently blocked due to legal issues. However, it was suggested that this hurdle may be resolved if all eligible executives are promoted at one time, without considering seniority, which can be decided later.

PGM (Pers) assured that if there is any possibility for promotions in the Accounts wing, especially from AO to CAO, the matter will be examined and explored.

The GS further inquired about promotions in the Telecom stream, including AGM to DGM, SDE to AGM, and JTO to SDE.

PGM (Pers) assured that efforts are underway to resolve the legal hurdles related to AGM to DGM promotions. He stated that if things move in the right direction, Telecom wing executives may receive promotions very soon.
