Achievements of AIBSNLEA as on 01/04/2004 :-

1)    Retrospective absorption in BSNL w.e.f 1.10.2000 as against the management’s proposal for

    prospective    absorption ,

2)    payment of arrears of pay w e f 1.10.2000 after absorption in BSNL to those working in and drawing

    salary from other organisations  like DoT, TEC, MTNL, Deptt. of posts etc,

3) Allowing the officers retired after 1.10.2000 to exercise option for absorption in BSNL,

3)    Vastly improved IDA pay scales for the BSNL Executives over the initial offer after the meeting with CMD,

    BSNL on 16.10 2002,

4)    protection of “point to point pay fixation” formula which the other group wanted to sacrifice in the

    guise of bringing improvements in IDA pay scales,

6) Time bound non-post based promotion policy up to SG JAG level in BSNL,

7) Guaranteed full weightage for past services rendered in DoT , DTS, DTO for the purpose of promotion,

     probation, seniority etc after absorption

8) Payment of adhoc amount @ Rs 2000 w.e.f. 1.10.2000(despite strong opposition and legel threats by

    vested interests) to all the group B officers desirous to get absorbed in BSNL

9) Expediting the process of calling option for absorption after settlement of pay scales/promotion policy

10) Implementation of the revised  CDA pay scales for JAOs and AAOs w.e.f. 1.1.1996 and payment of arrears thereof

11) Retention of time bound promotion policy in the letter calling of option against last minute efforts to dilute the same

12) Approval of the corresponding IDA pay scale for the Assistant Account officers by BSNL despite the heinous effort by the vested interests to divide the Executives on the discipline lines by rousing the sentiments of Engineering cadres

13) Implementation of the IDA Pay Scales for the BSNL recruits / promotees

14) Non-acceptance of the proposal for extension of deemed deputation period of the Group A officers for another five years and thus creating a compulsion for their absorption

15) Restructuring of the stenographer’s cadres and upgradation of their pay scales

16) Finalisation of option for absorption in BSNL and issue of Presidential Orders.
