In continuation to this office letter of even no. dated 21' July 2016 on the above subject, I am directed to forward a copy of the minutes of the meeting held on 13.6.16 under the chairmanship of Director, CGHS to mitigate the difficulties faced by CGHS during enrolling Pensioners of BSNL/MTNL getting pension from Central Civil Estimate wherein It was decided that DoT will ensure that the Pension Payment Order (PPO) issued to the Pensioner getting pension from Central Civil Estimate will also mention the equivalent basic pay and Grade Pay as per the Central Pay Scale in respect of BSNL/MTNL employees. Indication of equivalent basic pay and Grade Pay as per Central Pay Scale will facilitate retired absorbed employees of BSN1 staying in CGHS areas to avail CGHS facility by paying prescribed subscription. You are requested to direct the concerned to indicate the equivalent basic Pay and Grade Pay for the retired employees who have already been issued PPOs also, if they approach the concerned authorities. Sub: Development of web-based programme for monitoring medical claims of retired employees. Your kind attention is invited to the discussions held with GM (Admn.) on the above subject. Various retired employees Associations are requesting for early implementation of web-based programmes for seeking/monitoring their medical claims. Time and again they are representing their difficulties in knowing the status of their claims which are pending for longer periods. If a system is in place, atleast the office will know where the claims are held up for no reasons. They have requested for release of demo programme at the earliest as It will take time to stabilize any programme. The proposed programme may be implemented in one Circle on trial basis.
