Com. Prahlad Rai GS AIBSNLEA in his speech elaborated the various phases in our struggle against indifferent attitude of BSNL administration in the case of regularisation of officiating JTOs. There had been lapses on the part of the management in defending the case of officiating JTOs in the court of law when it was dragged to the HC of Haryana by some vested interests. Only AIBSNLEA could point out it to the notice of CMD and we even demanded for a thorough enquiry in to the suspected collusion in this matter. The strong involvement and interference of our association and our constant pursuing could yield results finally. He stressed that AIBSNLEA always stood firmly with the oppressed group and those who are fighting for justice. This association will further take all possible measures to ensure that their genuine demands pertaining to fixation of pay and allowances, promotion, protection of service etc . He welcomed all the newly enrolled members and asked them to come to the forefront of this organisation to add momentum to our fight to become the number one association of executives in BSNL in the forthcoming election of association with majority of members. Sub: - Conducting demonstrations by the unions and associations of BSNL and MTNL, against the reported move of the NIT! Aayog for making strategic sale in BSNL MTNL - req. We are aware that the government has entrusted the NITI Aayog with the task of identifying the PSUs for disinvestment and privatisation. The media has already reported that the NITI Aayog has submitted to the ernment a list of 74 PSUs for disinvestment / privatisation. Further, it was reported in the media on 20th July, 2016 that, the NITI Aayog is proposing for strategic sale in BSNL and MTNL. The clarification issued by the NITI Aayog in this regard is not convincing. Under these circumstances, the unions and associations of BSNL and MTNL have decided to conduct nation wide protest demonstrations on 03.08.2016, to express opposition to the reported move of the NITI Aayog for strategic sale in BSNL / MTNL. It is also hereby informed that the unions and associations of BSNL and MTNL will be compelled to give call for intensified forms of struggles, if the proposed strategic sale in BSNL and MTNL is not dropped. Aforesaid serious thinking in the govt. regarding strategic sale of BSNL prompts us to draw your kind and immediate attention on following issues relating to the subject. For quite some time now Nit' Aayog has been actively considering disinvestment of BSNL and MTNL through strategic sale route, besides other issues related to other CPSUs. This unwarranted and untimely thinking on the part of Niti Aayog has generated tremendous agitation and unrest amongst both BSNL who of late have been single mindedly focusing on revival of BSNL and to a very large extent have succeeded in considerably improving the growth trajectory of the Company. Respected Sir, BSNL is the only telecom service provider in the Country which has met in the most exemplary manner the socio economic obligations of the telecom policies of the govt. from time to time and has met the aspirations of the downtrodden people in the remote areas of the Country by providing telecom services of universal quality at affordable process. Investing more than 20000 crores for meeting the expectations of the common people in the Country with regard to telecom services, BSNL has incurred massive losses to the tune TELEWAVE 55 JULY-2016
