Regarding prevailing condition of Broadband and FTTH services of BSNL Odisha Circle and in particular Bhubaneshwar SSA. On the subject cited above, it has been brought to the notice of AIBSNLEA CHQ towards the nightmare for BSNL customers of Odisha as BSNL Broadband, Internet lease lines, mobile data and other circuits are either wholly down or working partially since quite some time (For the last two months) as the IGW links to Kolkata and Chennai are going down almost every day. The maintenance of the Optic Fiber route and the equipment being with CGM ETR Kolkata, remedial measures are beyond the scope of CGMT, BSNL Odisha. It is apprehended that BSNL FTTH and Broadband services in the urban areas may lose their existence if such failure is not arrested immediately. Further, the existing Broadband equipment installed at Bhubaneswar which was due to be expanded / upgraded to higher capacity and version needs to be suitably enhanced / upgraded to cater the requirement.
