suggested developing long term relationships with our vendors for increase the customer satisfaction and profitability of BSNL. At last he congratulated AIBSNLEA for the grand success of the open session. The Open Session ended with the National Anthem. At the end of the Circle Conference the elections were held for the new Circle body for the next term. Com P.C. Thappa SDE, Com. Sunil Parimoo AGM and Smt. Geeta Dhar AO, were unanimously elected as Circle President, Circle Secretary and Circle Treasurer for the next term. Com P.K. Malhotra AGM managed that stage arrangements and Com. C.L. Ganjoo District Secreatary Jammu organized the overall management of the Circle Conference in a nice way. The entire Conference Hall was Jam Packed with mammoth gathering. FORUM NEWS 1. Sub: - Abnormal delay in the transfer of assets from DoT to BSNL – reg. We wish to draw you kind attention to the subject mentioned above, for favour of appropriate action. The Forum seriously took up the issue of transfer of assets at the time of it’s two day strike, held on 21st and 22nd April, 2015. Talks were held between the Forum and the Secretary, DoT, on 1st may, 2015. Finally it emerged that most of the circle administrations of BSNL have not done their ground work, to facilitate the transfer. In the talks held during the above occasions, the BSNL Management assured that expeditious action would be taken by the CGMs. However, it is a matter of regret that even after that lapse of one year, sufficient steps have not been taken by the various CGMs on the matter. The issue was seriously discussed in the meeting of the Core Committee of the Forum, which was held on 31.05.2016. During the discussions it emerged that in many places the DoT is unilaterally taking over buildings for their use. This action of the DoT is contrary to the decision of the government of India, taken at the time of the formation of BSNL that, the assets could be transferred to BSNL. Further, taking over of the assets by DoT is creating a sense of apprehension in the minds of the employees. All these are happening only because of the delay in transfer of assets from DoT to BSNL. I n view of the forgoing, it is requested to kindly ensure that action is taken by the CGMs without any further delay at their levels, to facilitate the speedy transfer of the assets. Further, it is also requested that this issue may kindly be taken up at the appropriate level of the government so that assets are not unilaterally taken over by the DoT. Sub: - Shortage of stores and materials – reg. We wish to bring the following to your kind notice. A meeting of the Core Committee of the Forum of BSNL Unions and Associations was held on 31.05.2016. The meeting make a review of the ongoing developmental activities. During the discussions, it emerged that a number of stores and materials are in short supply in most of the circles. These items include dropwire, jumperwire, UY connector, jointing kits, etc. Hence, it is requested that necessary steps may kindly be taken at the earliest, to overcome the short supply.
